Advanced Training Course in Tungsten Insert Gas (TIG) Welding (In-house Training)

This 5-day training/seminar is designed to provide the participants with the advanced knowledge and skills in Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding process. The course will provide participants the know-how in the proper way in setting up of welding equipment and its accessories. It will also include tips in electrode preparation, basic welding joints, workpiece preparation, the techniques in various welding position, welding troubleshooting as well as welding safe practices. The course provides comprehensive coverage of both theoretical and practical application.

Course Highlights

At the end of this training course, the participants shall be able to;

State the definition, advantages and disadvantages of tungsten inert gas welding;

State the definition, advantages and disadvantages of tungsten inert gas welding;

Select and distinguish different types of electrodes and protective gases;

Demonstrate the proper method of preparing/reshaping the tungsten electrode for welding with AC or

Select the correct size and type of filler rod;

Identify potential hazards and apply control measures for a safe welding process;

Demonstrate the proper TIG welding torch manipulation techniques;

Demonstrate a variety of TIG welds in different welding position using carbon steel plate, stainles

Demonstrate the proper method of TIG welding in carbon steel pipe in different welding positions
